Fresh figs

With many venues currently looking to change the menu and incorporate seasonal produce figs are a good option. The fig fruit is readily available in trays and can be used in countless ways. The smooth texture and crunchy flesh of the fig makes them ideal for use in salads, with cheese platters and incorporated in fruit arrangements. They are also superb in cakes, tarts, puddings, breads, biscuits, muffins and chutneys. You can also use figs to make fresh jam to serve with plain toast or to accompany fruit toast on the breakfast menu.
